The Compassionate Friends

A self-help organization that offers understanding and friendship to bereaved families through support meetings at local chapters and telephone support. (They match persons with similar losses.) Publishes a newsletter for parents and one for siblings. The Compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit, self-help support organization which offers friendship and understanding to families who are grieving the death of a child of any age, from any cause. We have learned that the death of our child has caused a pain that can best be understood fully by another bereaved parent. The site offers articles to read, brochures, and links to other grief resources.
