  • A mother’s memoir of her daughter’s battle with brain cancer. This is a very good book. I recommend it to everyone, even if they are not parents of children with cancer. It’s about how a mom deals with raising a spirited daughter, the push-and-pull of how much to let the daughter do what she wants and it’s about how to reconcile our parental choices with how we were brought up ourselves. It’s about the spunk and life of a young woman as she goes through treatment for brain cancer. It’s about families, it’s about us. Very insightful. [PF, 7/2011]
